1. Data We Do NOT Collect

Finwise AI does not collect, transmit, store on servers, or share any personal financial information you enter into the app. All transaction data, account balances, goals, and calculations remain entirely on your device at all times.

There are no user accounts, no sign-up required, and no cloud sync. Your financial data never leaves your device.

2. How Your Data Is Stored on Your Device

Finwise AI uses the following browser-native storage technologies to save your data locally and persistently on your device:

• IndexedDB — The primary storage engine. Robust, persistent, and survives app restarts. Supported by all modern browsers and Android WebViews used in TWA (Trusted Web Activity) apps.
• localStorage — Used as a fast secondary mirror and fallback for devices where IndexedDB may be unavailable.
• sessionStorage — Used as a tertiary fallback only.

All three storage locations are sandboxed to the app's origin (finwise.habibdigi.net) and cannot be accessed by any other website or application.

Important note for Android users: Clearing the app's cache or storage in Android Settings will delete your locally stored data. We recommend using the Export Backup feature (More → Data Management → Export Backup) before clearing app data.

3. Advertising

Finwise AI uses two Google advertising platforms depending on how you access the app:

• Google AdSense — displayed when you visit finwise.habibdigi.net in a web browser.
• Google AdMob — displayed when you use the Android app installed from Google Play Store (via TWA).

In both cases, Google may collect anonymised device identifiers and usage signals to serve relevant ads. Your financial data is never shared with Google or any advertiser. You can opt out via Google Ads Settings or Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation. See Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Affiliate Links

Finwise AI includes affiliate links to third-party products (for example, through Amazon Associates). When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate availability and commissions vary by country and region. Clicking these links is entirely optional.

5. Cookies

This app does not use tracking cookies. The only browser storage used is IndexedDB and localStorage (as described in Section 2), which store only your own financial data and app preferences (such as selected currency and colour theme). No data in these stores is accessible by third parties.

6. Analytics

Finwise AI does not use any analytics or usage tracking services (e.g. Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.). We do not collect information about how you use the app.

7. Your Rights — GDPR, UK GDPR, and Global Regulations

Since Finwise AI does not collect personal data on servers, there is typically no data for us to retrieve, correct, or delete on your behalf. Your data exists only on your own device, and you have full control over it at all times — including the ability to export it as a JSON file or delete it entirely from within the app.

Users in the EU/EEA (GDPR), United Kingdom (UK GDPR), California/USA (CCPA), Canada (PIPEDA), Australia (Privacy Act), and Bangladesh (Digital Security Act) retain rights under their respective laws. If you have questions, please contact us at the address below.

8. Children's Privacy

Finwise AI is not directed at children under 13 years of age (or under 16 in EU/EEA member states). We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has used the app, please contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
